Featured in CA Home + Design Fall 2024, A Magical Undertaking documents a comprehensive renovation of a private residence in Ross, California. Catherine Kwong Design worked alongside architect Ken Linsteadt to transform a home the clients had lived in for years, expanding the floor plan with taller windows and doors while preserving the qualities that defined it. Landscape architect Janell Denler Hobart designed layered plantings that terrace from the house down to a swimming pool and lawn, drawing the surrounding landscape of redwood and oak trees into everyday life. Lighting design by Vita Pehar Design is integrated throughout to support the architecture and respond to changes in natural daylight.
