Featured in Coastal Living April 2010, Surfers' Paradise profiles the Pleasure Point beach cottage of Scott and Teresa Trobbe in Santa Cruz, California. Architect Noel Cross designed the 2,100-square-foot home to honor the neighborhood's relaxed, built-over-time character, with board-and-batten siding and Craftsman-inspired details that give it the feel of an authentic California beach bungalow. Living areas and the master bedroom are placed on the second floor to capture views of Monterey Bay and the surf break, while kids' bedrooms and a bunkroom occupy the ground floor. Interior designer Gina Viscusi created a casual, laid-back mood with a palette of blues, dune grass green, and sand. Lighting by Vita Pehar Design supports the home's airy, informal atmosphere throughout.
